INTERNATIONAL TRAVELLERS ARE WELCOME AT THE OLD KENNELS

We welcome international travellers and will try and make your stay as easy as possible.

Whether you are staying in London and fancy a few days in Devon, or would like to head straight to the South West and simply enjoy the variety of beautiful unspoilt countryside, wild rugged coastlines, sandy coves and open moorland, we can help plan your itinerary.

The Old Kennels is approximately 3 hours by train from London, we are always happy to meet you from the train or arrange a cab to collect you. The Waterloo Line brings you in to Honiton, just five miles from The Old Kennels.

The Loft apartment provides a cosy base from which to explore. We are situated in East Devon, just four miles from the Somerset border, and 30 minutes to the south coast, an hour from Cornwall and the North Devon Coast, so centrally located for a choice of wonderfully memorable days out.

If you are coming to take a course at The Old Kennels as part of your trip, things you make can often be posted to your home to save you carrying them on flights.

Some suggested Itineraries for day trips might be:

Take a trip on the WEST SOMERSET RAILWAY
The longest heritage railway in England, through 20 miles of stunning Somerset countryside and coast, with a variety of wonderful dining experiences, murder mystery, even candlelit nights. Take the train to Dunster famed for its huge and dominating Castle (open to the public) and quaint cobbled village. A step back in time to the days of the steam railways.

Hire a Classic Car and Driver and go for a Devon Cream Tea (jam on top of course!)
Step back in time and see Devon at a gentle pace, drive the lanes in style and soak up the views. A leisurely day should always involve a cream tea, that’s scones, cream and jam, cups of tea (or champagne if you prefer), maybe some fancies and cucumber sandwiches – how very Devon!

Lunch at the River Exe Café
Take a water taxi to a little pontoon in the centre of the river for a very special lunch, just our favourite day out – great views, fresh sea air and fabulous food – all the ingredients to total relaxation.

From Exmouth seafront – see seals, take a tour of the Jurassic Coast line and its hugely diverse rock formations from out to sea or just enjoy a relaxing cruise.
